
I've been doing this now since 2005, and have been comparing my results with others on the Bracket Matrix website. I think the results are pretty darn good!
PH Sports Rankings formula is based on 3-2-1 point system - 3 pts for correctly having a team IN, 2 points for having their seed exact, and 1 point for having their seed within 1.
Gary Parrish rankings were similar, but the formula isn't posted anywhere I can find.

2005-06 season - 63 of 65 correct in the tourney.
2006-07 season - 63 of 65 correct in the tourney - ranked 7th Nationally by Gary Parrish of CBSsportsline.com - 140 points
2007-08 season - 64 of 65 correct in the tourney, 59 of 65 dead on or within 1 seed line - Ranked 5th Nationally by Gary Parrish of CBSSportsline.com - 160 total points - and 5th by PH Sports - 326 total points.
2008-09 season - 64 of 65 correct in the tourney, 58 of 65 dead on or within 1 of seed line - Tied for 10th in scoring by PH Sports - 310 pts. 7th in CBSSportsline Experts Bracketology contest.
2009-10 season - 64 of 65 correct in the tourney, 50 of 65 dead on or within 1 of seed line - 290 pts - waaaay down the list this time. 8th in CBSSportsline Experts Bracketology contest.
2010-11 season - 66 of 68 correct in the tourney, 55 of 68 dead on or within 1 of seed line - 323 pts - tied for 7th highest point total nationally. If I don't make 2 last minute switches, I'd be tied for 1st...D'OH!!
